And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
Weymouth New Testament
The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overpowered it.
John 1:5
I am not a Christian. Nonethless, John 1:5 always facinates me, especially Webster's translation. However, a time like this, is one of the rare exception that I prefer Weymouth's instead.
I often enjoy visits to "the dark side." Just like a movie theatre, there is no better place than the darkess to see a show of light.
On August 8th, 2009 a typhoon devastated southern Taiwan with torrential rain and flood. Today, I went to the city hall of Kaohsiung trying to offer my helping hands. I was turned away and told "Please come back tomorrow before 7:30 AM."
The following clip and pictures were taken during lunch time when things were "slow."
Each time you hear an applause in this clip, is people thanking a departing driver just unloaded his/her donation.
