According to a research done by CCTV, Cha Quan was orginated from middle east. After the emperor of Tang Dynasty asked for help to fight the rebels, Muslim soliders were granted the permission to settle down any where in China. Cha Quan is one of the martial arts taught by those Muslim soldiers. This style of martial art were widely taught after the Japanese invadsion for fighting against Japanese.
