Can Tho is the largest city south of Ho Chi Minh in Viet Nam. There is a university. As I ran out of cash in the middle of no where, my friend took me to Can Tho so I could cash some traveler's cheques.
芹苴是越南胡志明市以南的第一大城。有大學。在鄉間散盡千金後，朋友帶我進城兌換旅行支票。
題外話：順便幹一下中國中央電視臺的斷章取義。有回在上海搭公車，看到央視介紹黃河，引用李白的將進酒，說：「黃河之水天上來，奔流到海不復回」是在講黃河的波瀾壯闊。靠！沒看到下一句是：「君不見：高堂明鏡悲白髮，朝如青絲暮成雪？」啊？
The name Can Tho triggers my romantic feelings by conditional reflex. The spelling of its name is only one H away from Canto, which is Italian for verses. At the sight of its name, the following song began ringing in my head:
芹苴的越文是Can Tho。這個名字能引起我感覺浪漫的制約反應，因為它跟義大利文的「詩篇」：canto, 只差一個h。所以當我看到這個名字時，我的心裡就響起這首歌：
